The Arriva Trains Youth Tour of Wales
Event Dates: 23 & 31 August 2008

This August sees a fantastic new race series for young cyclists aged 6 -16 years of age. The phenomenal success of the RIS Insulation Junior Tour of Wales - an event fully supported by Blaenau Gwent Council throughout its 28year history - has led the organisers to programme an event for riders in the younger age categories.

The youth event will be on similar lines to the RIS Junior Tour of Wales. Sponsorship has been arranged with ARRIVA TRAINS WALES, who are keen to promote cycling as a positive activity for young people and at the same time celebrate the success of the Ebbw Vale Line.

The courses will take place in the best of the local Welsh countryside and whether it is just for fun or for that competitive streak in you the opportunities in cycling are endless!" The entry fee is £5 and the closing date for entries is the 18th of August.
